Manager's Blog 8th March

We have all had a lovely week at preschool and there are definitely some signs that Spring is on the way! All of the children have been engaging in activities that support our learning focus. Activities have included:

  • Themed tuff trays: on the farm, bug rescue, coloured sand
  • Spring themed playdough: flower and insect playdough mats, baking role play, spring coloured dough
  • Spring creative crafts: fork painting chicks, spring animal collages, flower printing, paper plate spring sticking, springtime colouring
  • Outdoor play: water painting, chalking, balancing games, mark making in sand, finding insects and flowers

We have been engaging in lots of action songs and dancing this week as well as learning a few new songs on our song boards.

A big thank you to everyone that came to our World book day library event on Thursday and well done children (and parents!) for the wonderful dressing up outfits.

Next week is national science week and in celebration of this we welcome back Lab tots on Tuesday for some exciting science activities.

Reminders:

  • Drop off and collection: Please ensure that you are on time for drop off and collection as much as possible. This is especially important for the morning drop off at 845am as it can be quite disruptive for the morning activities and routines.
  • Labelling: Please can you make sure all clothing, bottles and lunch bags are clearly labelled to avoid confusion as we are noticing quite a few duplicates.

Dates for the diary:

  • Tuesday 12th March - Lab tots science visit (am session)
  • Sunday 17th March - St. Patrick's Day
  • Thursday 28th March -Easter Party (details to follow)
