Our Year 5 & 6 classes enjoyed an amazing immersive experience as evacuee children run by the Burwell House outreach project. They experienced what it would be like to disembark from a train and immediately onto the station platform where they were picked up by a local officer and scattered around the village. They were also given a taste of life in a 1940s school, complete with fountain pens, gas masks and an unbelievably strict headteacher!
