What we are learning this term.

Classes

Our topic this term is called Weather Adventures.
We will be focusing on these books for our literacy work.
Swift Class were amazing in our nativity this year.  Below are some photos we took during our dress rehearsal along with some pictures of Andy from Widdershins Theatre performing Pigs and Bears don't come in pairs.  The children loved it and it was a lovely reward for all their hard work this term.  Well done Swifties!
This week in maths, the children have been learning about 3D shapes.  We learnt how to identify shapes as well as build with them.  The children completed a challenge to see who could build the highest tower.  We also explored different ways of sorting the 3D shapes including size, colour, shape, number of faces and curved and not curved among others.  Later in the week, we built 3D shapes using playdough, polydron and magnetic shapes.
We had a lovely day making decorations on Decoration Day.  It was so nice to do this activity with the whole school being included in the mix of the groups.
Children in Need Pudsey hunt!

Swift and Puffin Class joined together to find pictures of Pudsey Bear as part of our learning for the day.  The children had to count the spots on each Pudsey and record them on their special sheet.
