To coincide with our recent accreditation of the ‘Green Flag’ from Eco-Schools, we have been awarded the Green Tree School silver award by the Woodland Trust for our work planting new trees and recycling across the school.
Through the work carried out by our Eco-committee, enthusiastic pupils and the site team, we have been awarded rewarded for doing environmental projects such as tree planting, reducing our CO2 emissions and using woodland visits as part of our extended curriculum provision. Points are collected for each activity we have completed, progressing through bronze, silver and gold levels up to the prestigious platinum award.
There will be some new initiatives this coming school year for us to work on towards the Gold standard as we continue to be Eco-concious and do our bit for the future.
