Our Art and Design curriculum is designed to engage, inspire and challenge our children. At Meldreth, we teach the appropriate knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create. They are provided with opportunities to gain an understanding of art and design and reflect on how it shapes our history and contributes to culture, creativity and wealth of the nation.
We engage, inspire and challenge pupils, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art, craft and design. As pupils progress, they are able to think critically and develop a more rigorous understanding of Art and Design.
Over their time with us, children develop an understanding of how Art and Design both reflects and shapes our history whilst continuing to contribute to the culture, creativity and wealth of our nation. We are aware how our Art & Design curriculum is linked to pupil confidence and resilience and promote, and develop these skills.
