Manager's Blog 15th March

We have all been very busy this week with our continued learning theme of Spring and Easter as well as enjoying a Labtots science session, celebrating St Patrick's Day and Red nose day.

The children have enjoyed various activities linked to our learning theme including:

  • Tuff trays - St. Patrick's themed with shamrocks and lentils, spring garden with various flowers and animals, easter egg filling with oats.
  • Play dough - in various spring colours with mats and tools to represent spring animals, flowers and shapes
  • Bug searches - using magnifying glasses with bug toys as well as finding lots of ladybirds and butterflies!
  • Spring animals - matching animal babies to their mummies and naming them
  • Craft activities - Shamrock wands, easter egg decoration, flower pictures, spring birds, rainbow umbrellas

We have been outside much more this week now that the sun is starting to make an appearance! We joined together a few times in the gardens which we plan to do more often. On Tuesday, we all enjoyed our Labtots science session all about the weather! I have added an invitation from Proff to her Crazy Chemistry sessions. On Friday saw us celebrate both St Patrick's day and Red nose day and we will had lots of fun.
